White Rose shoppers get titanic dose of fun at futuristic bus launch

A fleet of new “techno” buses were welcomed into Leeds yesterday by a futuristic friend.

Seventeen state of the art ‘Arriva MAX’ buses will run on the 202/203 route serving Huddersfield, Mirfield, Dewsbury, White Rose Shopping Centre and Leeds.

The buses will include leather seats,  free wifi and an app which will allow passengers to live track their journey. Users will also be able to pinpoint the precise location of their bus, so they can avoid missing it.

Army Reserve on the look out for new Leeds recruits

More reservist soldiers are needed to help plug army shortfalls, according to a new recruitment drive in Leeds.

An open day in Harewood-Churchill Barracks featured representatives from local units to encourage more reservists to sign up.

Colour Sergeant Stuart Coles, aged 48 and Press Officer for the 4th Battalion of the Yorkshire regiment said:  “It’s a nation-wide scheme which involves recruiting and retaining new army reserve soldiers to support the regular army”.
