Queens Park Rangers get ready for Bristol City’s Tammy Abrahams

The struggling R’s host a Bristol City side who boast in-form goal scorer Tammy Abrahams. The Englishman has 11 goals in 15 appearances.

Rangers haven’t won at Loftus Road since the opening fixture against Leeds and their poor form includes a 6-0 thrashing at the hands of Newcastle. They currently sit 14th in the league nine places behind Bristol.

Defender Grant Hall has a thigh injury and is doubtful for the clash against Bristol, QPR are undefeated in the last 12 meetings between the two (W7, D5).

City could be facing former loanee Steven Caulker who made 29 appearances for the Robins in the 2010/11 season.

Swedish centre-back Joel Ekstrand has also been unwell however he is expected to train with the squad ahead of the match and may feature.

Speaking to the BBC Radio Bristol after their latest result a 2-1 loss to Cardiff, City manager Lee Johnson said: “We’ve still had a decent start and we have to learn our lessons from this one.” Bristol will no doubt be looking to bounce back and retain their spot in the play-off places.

The most recent fixture between these two finished in a 1-0 win for QPR. Karl Henry’s stunning strike earning all three points on the final match day of last season.

After his appointment in December, R’s boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink now has a full season with his squad to try to turn QPR’s fortunes around with the glitz and glam of the Premier League a distant memory.
