League One: Millwall v Bolton
By Billy Wilkinson
Struggling Millwall welcome Bolton to The Den as the Trotters look to go second in League One.
The Lions have struggled to replicate the success which saw them reach the play-off final last season. Manager Neil Harris’ men currently reside in 17th place, three points above the relegation zone with only one win in their last six games.
Millwall have struggled defensively this season, leaking 23 goals thus far, the second worst defensive record in League One.
It’s a different tale for the visiting team, who are currently in third place, but recent form have seen them fall behind league leaders Scunthorpe. Phil Parkinson’s side started the season with four wins from four but followed their emphatic start with a winless run of seven.
It has been a team effort for Bolton this season, with top scorer, Gary Madine, netting three goals, followed by three of his teammates on two goals, including this strike from Jay Spearing.
Millwall are expected to field the same side that beat Northampton in their previous match, with the likes of Shaun Cummings and Shaun Hutchinson not yet match fit.
Midfielder Chris Taylor may come into the side for Bolton to face his former club, where he played during the 2012/13 season and last season while on loan from Blackburn. Tom Thorpe is expected to start after playing 78 minutes against Oldham despite suffering with a virus.
Dean Moxey (groin) and Lewis Buxton (knee), with 19 combined appearances this season, will not feature. Neither will Max Clayton, Mark Davies and Darren Pratley who are all sidelined with long term injuries.
