Fire at Yorkshire Martyrs in Tong

By  Sean Gannon

Investigations are continuing in to the cause of a fire at a derelict building in Tong last night.

Five fire crews were called just after 7pm to the blaze at the old Yorkshire Martyrs Catholic College, which was on two sides of the two-storey building.

The fire was located on the ground and first floor and fire crews from Bradford, Cleckheaton, Stanningley and Odsal attended along with a specialist command unit from Featherstone.

It is not yet known how the fire started and the cause is still being investigated.
