Riot police were forced to separate fans at the end of Leeds United’s pre-season friendly with Eintracht Frankfurt after trouble broke out between supporters.
Local police reported that 20 arrests – of both Leeds and Frankfurt fans – were made following the match in Salzburg which ended in a 2-1 victory for the German Bundesliga side.
A section of Frankfurt fans were seen wearing balaclavas.
A Leeds fan and a policeman both needed to receive medical treatment following the incident, but police do not know how serious the injuries are.

The ugly scenes overshadowed a decent night for the Whites which saw them take the lead against a team from the top tier of German football.
Steve Morrison grabbed Leeds’ opener after 26 minutes but two goals in the second half for Frankfurt were enough to overcome a promising display from Uwe Rosler’s men.
Leeds now head to Norway for a fixture against another Bundesliga side, TSG Hoffenheim, on Saturday.
