Manchester’s grudge match Amir Khan vs Kell Brook

Amir khan (34-5, 21KOs) and Kell Brooke (39-3, 27KOs) are on course for their bout in a week’s time. With all eyes on February 19th at Manchester Arena.

This bout has been in the making for a decade with Brook and Khans long-term rivalry. And who have genuine dislike for each other.

Brook feels like Khan has not given him the respect he deserves from his rival. Whilst Khan says Brook is simply jealous. Although both fighters have passed their prime it will be interesting bout on night packed full of action.

Looking at their last performances, “King Khan” has not fought over two-and-a-half years his last fight was against Former IBF featherweight champion Billy Dib. Which he won in the fourth round via TKO picking up the featherweight belt from the Australian. Who competed three weights above than usual.

“Special K” last fight was against Terence Crawford which ended in the fourth round via TKO. But it was reversed by the referee and carried on, but then Crawford landed a flurry of shots making him winner by TKO.

Going into this fight the odds favour Brook with a popular rate of 10/13, while other odds have him to win.

On other hand Khan has a liked price of 6/4 and is seen as the outsider. Even though there is little to separate these two fighters.

Quddus Iqbal, a boxer from Sharky’s Gym in Meanwood, said: “I think Khan wins because Brook has been in a lot of big fights recently and that takes a toll on your body. Also, Khan switched trainer and is now improving in Crawford camp so he will have improved a lot.”

What do you think?
