The return of Leeds Literature Festival launched on Wednesday, February 5 at Leeds Minster, with the ambition to become an annual showcase of Leeds’ diversity.
Authors of Leeds’ Peepal Tree Press, the largest publisher of Caribbean literature in the world performed their literary works through the spoken word.

The festival has organised for over one hundred award-winning writers and artists to perform and host workshops in 35 venues across the city for its second year. Amongst the headliners is Helen Fielding, the creator of Bridget Jones.
Fiona Gell, Marketing and Communications Officer of Leeds Library said: “Last year was a trial for the appetite, and we are definitely more ambitious this year.”
Leeds Literature Festival commences March 4- 10.
