Scunthorpe could stretch their lead at the top to nine points away at the ABAX Stadium as they face in-form Peterborough United.
Both sides have managed four wins from their last five league games, confidence will be high as both teams look to continue their form.
Josh Morris has led The Iron to a six-point gap at the top of the table, netting 14 goals as the league’s leading goal-scorer, four more than Peterborough’s top two scorers.
Morris joined Scunthorpe in the summer on a free transfer from Bradford City after previous spells on loan at Fleetwood, Carlisle, Rotherham and Yeovil.
Before that Morris made four appearances in the Premier League with Blackburn Rovers. Posh boss Grant McCann told the club website he is well aware of Morris’ threat: “Josh Morris has scored a lot of goals and has a very good ability to score all types of goals.
“However, he is one of many threats that Scunthorpe possess. They have a good blend of youth and experience and are on a tremendous run of form.”
The previous meeting between the two sides went in favour of the away side and The Iron will be looking to mirror their 2-0 win at the ABAX Stadium.
While a number of players are said to suffering from bumps and bruises by the Peterborough manager on the club website, the only absentee will be Jermaine Anderson, while Scunthorpe’s Paddy Madden, Harry Toffolo and David Mirfin won’t be risked.
The home side’s hi-vis kit caught some attention at the weekend as Michel Bostwick passed the ball to a steward instead of his left back, the moment was captured and inevitably bounced around social media:

However Peterborough had the last laugh when Chris Forrester’s glancing header captured the win in the 92nd minute.
