Leeds Rhinos have stunned many by announcing the signing of Tonga star Konrad Hurrell.
Hurrell was previously at NRL club Gold Coast Titans but has secured a move to Super League due to the desire for a long term contract.
Hurrell joins fellow Tongan Tui Lolohea, who signed for Leeds in July, and there is a sense the two will create a devastating partnership next season.
Hurrell has 7 caps for Tonga and could be the first of many acquisitions for new coach David Furner, with something of a rebuilding job taking place at Emerald Headingley.
The signing was met with mixed reactions from the Rhinos’ fans, with some cautious about Hurrell’s form last season.
Quality signing and hope this is Leeds putting down a marker for next season

Devastating ball runner but makes so many mistakes and unfit.

Hopeful but worried about his fitness and off field issues. Aussie press saying he can be devastating on his day but has had quite a dip in form over the last 2 seasons.
