Police hunt man who exposed himself to teen

Police want to find a man in his 40s who flashed a 17-year-old girl while performing an indecent act.

The incident took place just before midday on Friday, July 10th, on Carr Lane in Dewsbury. The man, who was driving a chrome Vespa-style scooter, rode past the girl before stopping at the end of the lane.

As the girl walked towards the man she noticed he has exposed himself and was performing an indecent act. She ran away and the suspect fled.

He is described as a white man aged 40 or above wearing a green khaki fleece top, cream trousers and a silver/chrome retro style open faced helmet.

PCSO James Hyde of the Dewsbury and Mirfield NPT, said: “Enquiries are ongoing into what has clearly been a distressing incident for the young victim and we are keen to trace the man responsible.

“Both his scooter and helmet are distinctive and it is likely he will be known in his local area.”

Anyone who can identify him is urged to contact the Dewsbury and Mirfield NPT on 101. Information can also be given to the independent Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
