Pensioner threatened and car jacked in Bradford

A 68-year-old pensioner was threatened and forced out of his car by two men on Rooley Avenue, at 10.40am, yesterday morning.

The pair, dressed in dark clothing, approached the pensioner’s Red Ford Focus before they threatened and forced him out of his car then drove towards Staygate Roundabout.

The man was shocked, but was not harmed during the incident.

Detective Sergeant Rob Worley, of Bradford District CID, said: “We are appealing to anyone who might have seen these men in the time leading up to, or shortly after the incident.

“We are also appealing to anyone who saw a car of similar description being driven away at speed from Rooley Avenue around that time.”

“Anyone with information is asked to contact DC 6618 Lilley at Bradford District CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
