Pedestrian dies following road accident in Leeds

An 82-year-old woman has died after being involved in a collision on Middleton Road, Leeds on Friday (November 30).

The incident occurred at 12:20pm when a pedestrian, now identified as Maureen Routledge, was hit by a white Renault Kangoo van.

The driver, a 29-year-old man, did stop his car at the scene.

Routledge was immediately taken to hospital but West Yorkshire police today announced that she died the following day.

Witnesses of the incident or anyone who saw the vehicle prior to the collision, or anyone who has dashcam footage of the incident is urged to contact the police via 101 quoting log number *748 of 30 November.
