A Leeds mum is aiming to collect 400 gifts for children in St James’ Hospital and Leeds General Infirmary this Christmas.

The Christmas Gifts for Poorly Kids collection is being run by mother-of-two Claire Baskind from Alwoodley.

Claire started her yearly collections in 2016 as an alternative to buying her mum birthday and Christmas gifts after she had passed away.

She told Yorkshire Voice: “She absolutely adored children!”

Claire is appealing on her Facebook page and has prepared an Amazon wishlist for those wishing to donate.
