A driver has died after his car crashed into a house in Shelf following a police pursuit.
The 29-year-old man was driving a red Seat Ibiza when he crashed into a property on Halifax Road, near the Cooper Lane junction, after driving away from a police patrol vehicle at 8.40pm last night.
He suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
