LIVE: Olympique Lyonnais v AS Monaco

Two teams separated by a point clash this weekend when Lyon take on AS Monaco in Ligue 1. Niko Kovac’s Monaco are without a win in two before travelling to the Groupama this weekend. They sit eighth in the table entering this fixture and can enter the top four with a win.

Lyon have had a turbulent start to the 2020 campaign but picked up a vital three points last time out. They’ll be looking to leapfrog Monaco with a victory and secure back to back wins for the first time since January.

  • FULL TIME: Olympique Lyonnais 4-1 AS Monaco

The referee brings to an end an enthralling encounter between Lyon and Monaco. Depay opened the scoring but Toko Ekambi was the star man scoring two. The three goals in ten minutes at the end of the second half would kill the game off for the home side. An early second half goal from Ben Yedder wouldn’t provide a comeback but a harsh red card for substitute Bard will leave a dampener on this Lyon performance.

Lyon secure back to back wins and have lifted themselves in to 6th just two points from the top four. As for Monaco they have dropped to twelfth and have been leapfrogged by their opponents tonight.
