Leeds United will kick off their preseason tour of Austria and Norway tonight with a match against Bundesliga outfit Eintract Frankfurt in Salzburg.

New signing Chris Wood is still out with a hamstring injury but should be fit for Saturday’s fixture against TSG Hoffenheim.

Leeds boss Uwe Rosler will be hoping that his side can improve on their performance against York City last week when a late goal denied the Whites a first preseason win in a 1-1 draw at Bootham Crescent.

Ahead of the game he said: “We’ve been working on more football specific fitness, around roles and responsibilities for certain positions.

“We’ve been working on team shape and more speed orientated exercises.

“Now is the time – three weeks before kick-off – where we have to go from a diesel engine to a Ferrari engine. We have to train on that, that’s what we’ve been focusing on.”

The match will kick off at 5.15 UK time.
