Leeds students run clothes swap to promote sustainability in fashion

By Richard Liddle

Students at the University of Leeds have organised a clothes swap to promote sustainability and raise money for charity.

The event, run by the students behind the Leeds RAG Fashion Show, saw old clothes being swapped for items donated by others, with a £3 donation to take part.

The clothes swap aimed to promote the idea of environmentally conscious fashion and to raise money for two charities – Hubbub, an environmental campaign group, and Plastic Oceans UK, which campaigns to reduce plastic waste from entering the ocean.
