“Every game is winnable” says Neil Warnock

Huddersfield Town are back at home after their 4-0 defeat away to league leaders Burnley last weekend. They are facing 10th placed Coventry City who are unbeaten in five games whereas Huddersfield have only won one game in their last five games. In the reverse fixture which happened just over a month ago finished 2-0 to Coventry.

Neil Warnock revealed in the press conference that he was disappointed with how his side defended against Burnley: “When you look at the first two even three goals some of the defending was elementary really that you wouldn’t find in a schoolyard so I was disappointed.” Warnock revealed that his side made Burnley “look like Real Madrid” because they didn’t “grasp the basics.”

For the upcoming fixtures, Warnock wants to see a response from their performance against Burnley stating that they “either respond or won’t be in the team.”

However, the manager still has faith in his team as he stated that “every game is winnable” even though they are favourites to finish bottom according to the bookies.

Coventry’s danger man is their striker Viktor Gyokeres who is the second top goal-scorer in the Championship this season with15 goals. Warnock acknowledges how good of a striker he is and he can hold the ball up well. He was compared to Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic, he said that his players need to “stay with the runners, the one thing that we didn’t do at Burnley, if we don’t do that this weekend we will get turned over again.”
