NHS say that a quarter of England’s population are obese and numbers are rising.

Events took place to promote the launch in City Park and Oastler Market yesterday.

Cooking demonstrations, exercise routines and food giveaways were overseen by healthy living organisation HALE and Jamie’s Ministry of Food, who are helping to promote the campaign locally.

Environment officer for Bradford Council Pam Bhupal said it’s all about changing lifestyles

She said: “We want people to enjoy food, we’re not saying do this, don’t do this.

“It’s about enjoying yourself and doing it together as a family and a community.”
