Corberan looking for balance between defence and attack

Huddersfield Town manager Carlos Corberan is hoping to find the right balance between defence and attack ahead of his side’s encounter with Stoke City at the John Smith’s Stadium tomorrow evening.

The Terriers will be aiming to make it 10 games without defeat in all competitions when they play host the Potters in the Sky Bet Championship.

Corberan insists he is hoping his side can get the balance right between defence and attack and also believes it will be two very different teams going up against each other.

He said: “The most important thing right now is we find a balance between defence and attack.

“We want the fact that we attack more to not have an effect on how well we defend. This is a challenge for every coach.

“The way to fix is to analyse first and to talk about it.

“We need to find a solution and work on them. It is important to complete this process.

“The target right now is the same that I had at the start of the season and that is to make us a more competitive team.

“This a very ambitious target because it is not easy to be competitive in every single game.

“We and Stoke are two very different teams. Both teams have more experience from that first game.

“They have changed their squad more than we have. They are one of the teams who have been using this market to increase the number of players they have.”

The Spaniard went on to admit that he would be happy to bring in a couple more additions before the end of the January transfer window but insists it is vital they do not lose any players.

Town are still yet to bring in any players so far but do have until Monday, January 31st to change that.

He added: “We will have to see if we can the players to fill in or we will have to finish the season with the players we have right now.

“We understand that we do have a couple of needs in the team but I am absolutely fine with the squad we have right now.

“The most important thing is we do not lose anyone at this stage. We are a strong squad with all of are players fit.”
