It’s south vs north this weekend as Grimsby Town travel to Cambridge’s Abbey Stadium with both sides looking to secure comfortable places in mid-table.
The visitors find themselves in 11th after two games without a win, following a defeat to Hartlepool United and a draw away to Exeter.
Grimsby No. 9 Omar Bogle looks set to feature in this weekend’s clash as he continues to dominate the goal-scoring tallies with nine 9 goals in all competitions.
The 23-year-old from Birmingham City struggled to get a shot on target for the full 90 minutes and only able managed shot on goal which went wide.
Home side Cambridge sit in 17th and continue to be in good form as the last three games have earned the team seven points with wins against Yeovil and Accrington and a draw away to Blackpool.
Cambridge however are lacking in goals from their forwards as midfielders Piero Mingoia and Luke Berry are leading with four goals each in all competitions.
But manager Shaun Berry looks confident that goalkeeper Will Norris will perform at his best and help Cambridge get maximum points
Derry told BBC Sport: “I think I’ve got the best number one in the division, I really do, and I’ve said that for a while now.
“He’s a fantastic young goalkeeper who’s really coachable. I think when you look at those aspects he’s got a hell of a chance.”
The 23-year-old saved two penalties in stoppage time as United beat Accrington 2-1 which certainly impressed the Cambridge manager.
