By Matthew Beedle
Scunthorpe United will look to increase their lead at the top of League 1 when they take on mid table MK Dons at Glanford Park.
Graham Alexander’s men go into the game unbeaten in their last nine games in all competitions and having only lost one league game so far this season.
The home side boast the country’s leading goal scorer in Josh Morris, with the midfielder netting 13 times in as many appearances.
It has been a tale of mixed fortunes for MK Dons this year as they attempt to put an end to what has been a poor start to the season.
Manager Karl Robinson has seen his side pick up just four league wins in 12 games, losing their last 1-0 at home to Port Vale.
After the defeat Robinson assured the BBC that his players were good enough for the level they are playing at.
He said: “The players are obviously good enough for this level because they are dominating games.”
Robinson revealed one of his players was struggling with illness but there are no fresh injury concerns as defender Scott Wootton and striker Chuks Aneke remain side-lined.
Scunthorpe also have no fresh injury concerns as defender Jordan Clarke and striker Luke Williams remain side-lined for a further fortnight.
The last time the teams met, Will Grigg scored a brace for MK Dons as they came out 2-0 winners against the Iron at Stadium:MK.
