Olympic medalists Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee, from Leeds, triumphed at the Commonwealth Games yesterday- taking gold and silver respectively.
The Horsforth born brothers finished 11 seconds apart and over a minute clear of South Africa’s Richard Murray- who came in third.
After the first day of competition, England currently tops the medal tally with a total of 17- including six golds.
