Bromley vs Bradford Preview

Bromley vs Bradford Preview:

The Bantams travel to Bromley tomorrow night, for the first time in the club’s history. The game was originally meant to be played on 11th January but was postponed due to Bromley taking on Newcastle in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup.

The Ravens are on a fine run of form currently having won their past three games without conceding a goal, Bromley will be proud of their first campaign in professional football, as they are on the cusp of the playoffs. This game will feel big as it is both teams’ game in hand, the visitors could rise to 2nd should they pick up three points on the road.

Bradford City are looking to reciprocate their fine run of home form, they have won 9 in a row at home and have made Valley Parade a fortress. If they can take this club record home form on the road then they will be a force to be reckoned with and a strong favourite in the hunt for promotion to League 1.

They will have to be wary of Michael Cheek, who is the top scorer in the League with 16 goals, but they managed to keep him quiet in the return fixture in August when Bradford beat Bromley 3-1. In that game though, the Bantams were helped by an 8th Minute Bromley Red Card, meaning it was always going to be a tough afternoon for Bromley playing with 10 men.

There is a real togetherness around the Bradford City camp at the minute, with a sold out away end backing the West Yorkshire side for the long trip down to London. They will be hoping that the defence remains as resolute it has been in recent weeks, with the bantams having conceded only 1 goal in their previous 8 outings, resulting in them having the second fewest conceded goals in the league, with only AFC Wimbledon who have conceded less goals.

A huge credit must go to manager Andy Woodman who has guide Bromley brilliantly for the past 4 years, but I predict a 0-2 win for the Bantams tomorrow night.
