Bradford City manager, Gary Bowyer, has paid tribute to the victims of the Valley Parade fire by showing his squad a video of the disaster.
Bowyer aimed to educate his squad on the importance of the fire for those connected with the club.
A minute’s silence will be held before the Bantams’ game against AFC Wimbledon tomorrow, to honour the 56 people killed in the 1985 disaster.
The main stand caught fire during the final game of that season, against Lincoln City.
The stand was due to be replaced during the same summer.
Speaking at a press conference yesterday, Bowyer said: “We’ve watched a video today to show the players and educate them on what the weekend’s memorial is about.
“It’s part of the club, it’s part of the city.
“The community and the togetherness of the city is incredible, and I think the impact of the fire has a major play in that.”
A memorial service will be held at 11.00am on Saturday 11 May in Centenary Square.
