Bielsa agony

Marcelo Bielsa leaves behind huge legacy with many in denial after the Argentines sacking

Leeds fan calls for Marcelo Bielsa to be SACKED and replaced with Sam Allardyce or Steve Bruce in mad talkSPORT call - 'He's not what people make him out to be!'

After three and a half seasons in West Yorkshire, Marcelo Bielsa has been relieved of his managerial duties at Leeds United. This comes after a dismal run of form where the whites have had four consecutive defeats, conceding an incredible 17 goals in the process .

The start of the season brought hope and optimism as a return to the Premier League earned Leeds a 9th placed position in the table. However, the thought of aiming for European Football drifted quickly with the club fighting a relegation battle instead. Main stars like Patrick Bamford, Kalvin Phillips and Diego Llorente have all missed large portions of the season, which has contributed massively to the downfall this season.

Nonetheless, the Leeds United faithful will sorely miss El Loco, as nicknamed by supporters. After 16 years out of the first division, the Argentine brought them back up to glory land where they rightly belong. Free flowing, energetic and a hungry attacking Football team was what Leeds where. This suddenly changed and the sacking was inevitable.

In spite of that, the majority still wanted Marcelo to stay. Supporters of all ages where left distraught with the news.

20 year old Tyler Houldsworth said “I’m absolutely devastated with the news. I must admit I did shed a few tears when the announcement first broke. The man singlehandedly dragged us up from the Championship. I doubt I will see a better manager in my lifetime.”

These are the views shared by many. Marcelo is simply adored by everyone associated with Leeds United. Tyler further went on to talk about the sacking being the wrong decision.

“It’s a mistake in my opinion, Bielsa earnt the right to finish of his contract after all that he’d done for the club. Results weren’t going so well but I would have fully backed him to turn it around.”

El Loco had given every Leeds United fan excitement again. No one imagined how successfully he’d be and everyone will be forever grateful.
