Bantams full of confidence ready for playoff clash

Matty Daly spoke on the hard-fought win against Stevenage on Tuesday night. The Bantams winger played all 90 minutes in the crucial win against the Hertfordshire outfit and mentioned how tough it was to defend the lead for so long.

Speaking on his relationship with the goalscorer on the night Jamie Walker, Daly believes they work well off one another.

โ€œI’m here to feed him he’s here to feed me, he likes to interplay which is what I like, we work well together.โ€

It was Walkerโ€™s 55th-minute strike that was enough to settle the two sides. On multiple occasions this campaign, City haven’t managed to manage games as best as they would like and to do so on Tuesday gives the side much needed confidence heading into their clash against promotion rivals Exeter.

Speaking on Saturday’s clash, manager Derek Adams shed light on the remarkable statistic that it will be the 5th time this season that City and the Grecians will have faced one another.

โ€œWe had to go there in the fa cup in November but we’ve added to the squad since then, and so have they.โ€

โ€œThey have the same nucleus of their squad, we have not, we’re hoping that will give us an advantage come Saturday.โ€

Adams still believes the playoffs are the intended target despite the uphill battle they may face.

โ€œWe have 16 games left, we have to win a lot of games. Up until now, we have drawn far too many.โ€

The Bantams are just 7 points off the playoff places and a win against Exeter would see them climb to within 4 points heading into the final stretch in what has been a thrilling season in league 2.
