The Ashes begins at Lords on Wednesday with English hopes resting largely on a quartet of Yorkshire talent.
Joe Root, Gary Ballance, Adam Lyth and Adil Rashid are all included in England’s 13-man squad picked to play Australia.
Joe Root has been in sparkling form this year averaging 67.62 with the bat in test matches. The golden boy of English cricket was involved in a twitter row with Australian batsman David Warner at the weekend after the Aussie made comments to the Sydney Herald about an infamous incident between the two players in 2013.
1/2 Disappointing to have my character questioned- those who know me realise how ridiculous Warner's excuse for hitting me sounds…

2/2 …but that's his choice to try and justify his actions. I'm just extremely excited about next week and getting back out there.

England are looking to avenge their 5-0 Ashes defeat to Australia in 2013-14 and hopes are high following an impressive performance against New Zealand earlier in the summer.
