A group of 11-16 year olds from Leeds has set up an arts festival which will provide free workshops and performances for young people at the start of the summer holidays.

The Breeze Arts Festival will run from the 18th to the 25th July and includes everything from DJ workshops, illustration classes, flashmobs and live performances.

Events will take place in central locations such as The West Yorkshire Playhouse, but also in community hubs such as Seacroft and Rothwell libraries.

Activities are mostly free, with only a small charge for certain performances. This is an important factor for the organisers who hope the event will encourage 11-19 year old to get involved with the arts in Leeds.

Visit www.breezeleeds.org/breezeartsfestival for more info on all events, and to book places.
