Ambulance and Hazardous Area Response Team attending reports of a house fire in Otley

Update 11:47: West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service (WYFRS) has confirmed two people were rescued from a house fire in Otley this morning.

A spokesperson for WYFRS said: “Fire engines from Otley, Rawdon and Cookridge were used.”

Fire services left the scene by 11:25 after handing the casualties over to ambulance staff.

A spokesperson from West Yorkshire Ambulance has confirmed that one person was taken to St James’ Hospital.

 

BREAKING 10:43: Yorkshire Ambulance teams are attending reports of a house fire in Otley near Wharfedale Hospital.

A spokesperson from Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 9:28 to reports of a house fire on The Broadwalk in Otley.

“We sent four vehicles from our Hazardous Area Response Team, one ambulance and one of our clinical supervisors.”

Emergency services are still on the scene.
