“We see ourselves as a recycling business as opposed to a clothing business” – Leeds vintage retailer expands into new premises

Queues gathered on Call Lane in Leeds city centre for the official opening of the new five-storey Blue Rinse vintage store this week.

The shop has expanded across the road from its original store, which still remains open.

Vintage clothing is seen to have massive environmental benefits due to re-using clothing products which would otherwise end up in landfill.

It also helps to reduce pollution by not buying directly from high street stores and supporting the fast-fashion industry.

Yorkshire Voice spoke to Blue Rinse after their opening on the environmental impacts of vintage clothing.
