Today marks the last of eight strike days for University of Leeds’ UCU members who have picketed outside the University to protest about their pensions, pay and working conditions.
They met at the Parkinson Building before marching in solidarity to a rally at Leeds Town Hall from midday.
The rally involved singing well-known songs with UCU-related lyrics and speeches from individuals including UCU vice president Vicky Blake.
A University spokesperson said: “Our priority has been to minimise any disruption to students and to ensure we continue to communicate with staff about the issues at the heart of this action.”
