PLANS TO close Toys R Us stores are set to see its Birstall branch escape the axe, but the Bradford shop will be shutting.
The toy giant announced yesterday that 26 of its stores will close after Christmas. The closures across the country will lead to a loss of 800 jobs.
The stores to be shut have since been revealed in the national press. It shows the Toys R Us in Manningham Lane Retail Park, Bradford, will close in spring 2018.
The Toys R Us in York is also due to be axed.
Many customers at Birstall told us yesterday they would have missed their Toys R Us store if it was on the list, but that they often shop online as well.
