The comic book world is in shock after it was announced recently that flagship marvel character Thor will become a woman later this year.
This surprising new development has left fans of the Norse God in Leeds and around the world confused.
Will Moss, chief editor at Marvel, said: “The new Thor continues Marvel’s proud tradition of strong female characters like Captain Marvel, Storm, Black Widow and more”
Though some fans question the need for another strong Marvel female character emerging at Thor’s expense.
The Avengers superhero, who was recently played by man’s man Chris Hemsworth in the film of the same name, will lose his powers to a woman after being deemed unworthy to wield his hammer, the Mjolnir.
