The Shaymen settles for a point against the Moors

The game finished in a fair 1-1 draw . Halifax played better in the second half but could not capitalise on their momentum and missed out on all three points. Town’s number nine missed a couple of chances to put them in the lead in a more exciting second half.

The game was pretty even and lackluster between the two sides in the first half and not a lot of chances were created. Both sides in the first 30 minutes couldn’t test the keeper enough to break the deadlock. Andrew Dallas put Solihull Moors into the lead as he heads in the ball from Ryan Barnett’s cross in the 34th minute.

A very even performance in the first half ended with Jimmy Shan’s side being the the happier team thanks to Dallas’s header however Halifax was still in the game and a comeback was a possibility but they needed to create more chances. Solihull Moors have to be clinical in front of goal to put the game out of reach.

Halifax started the second half the better team and in the 64th minute they equalised thanks to Mani Dieseruvwe. Harvey Gilmour laid the ball to Dieseruvwe who buried it from the edge of the box. A few minutes later they nearly took the lead through the goal-scorer but he sent it over the bar. Dieseruvwe should have made it 2-1 to Pete Wild’s men in the 70th minute as Max Wright fizzed the ball across the goal and he missed the ball from six- yards out.

In the last minute of the game the substitute Josh Kelly nearly won the game for the visitors as he shot the ball from the edge of the box but it’s excellently stopped by Sam Johnson.
