Table Topping Argyle Eyeing Next Win Away at Wycombe

Plymouth Argyle aim to extend their unbeaten run to 9 games in all competitions this Saturday at Adams Park.

The Pilgrims impressive start to the season is in contrast with their opponents this weekend. They take on Wycombe Wanderers who find themselves in 17th place and 3 points shy of the drop zone, having only managed to earn 1 win in their last 5 league games.

Argyle boss Steven Schumacher spoke to BBC Radio Devon trying to keep grounded with the early good run of form: “We’ve had a great start, but it’s only 10 games in and it’s a long way to go and we won’t get carried away”.

There is potential, however, of The Green Army’s trip up to Buckinghamshire being spoiled. Albanian danger man Anis Metmi has already netted 5 times already this season for The Wanderers, correlating with thier main threat coming from his left hand side of the field.

The goals have certainly flowed for both sides this season. Between them, Plymouth and Wycombe have scored 31 goals in their 10 games each. Yet perhaps even more interesting, the pair have also conceded 27 goals between them. So this one may just be a bit of a goal fest. Kick off is 3pm on Saturday 1st October.
