Leeds Trinity University will welcome Emmerdale’s Director Ian Bevitt to Journalism and Media Week.
Ian will lead a workshop for students on all things soaps and storylines.
Starting his career as a media reporter on the Pontefract and Castleford Express in the 80s, Ian began his directing career 11 years later.
To name a few, he has previously directed episodes of Waterloo road, Hollyoaks, The Chase and The Royal.
Ian’s role as a director now lies mainly with Emmerdale, however he still does direct some Coronation Street episodes, totalling 317 to date along with a one-off movie based on the soap.
The expert director’s workshop will take place at 2:00pm on Tuesday November 5.
