Should We Revise the Rules on Vaping?

The government announced that disposable vapes will be banned in the UK starting from 1st June 2025. What took so long for the government to introduce such law? 

Vape shops will be facing a major financial hit once this law is put in place as evident sales come through disposable vapes. 

Even if the government wants to protect children and young people, so far citizens have been ‘strong headed’. 

Aside from government’s aid in helping citizens to decrease their nicotine intake, what other measures can be put in place to educate the dangers of using vapes and cigarettes? 

However, disposable vapes are damaging the environment due to the inability of recycling them properly. 

What can be done to change the mindset of teenagers and young adults in order for them to stop vaping as it’s damaging their health?  

According to the Department of Health and Social Care, if the number of smokers reduces, ‘a healthier society will be built’ ultimately fixing the economy.  

This will include extending smoke-free outdoor places to outside schools, children’s playgrounds and hospitals. 

Licensing will be introduced to combat illicit trade, proposing ‘a £200 penalty’ for any potential ‘violations’. Others have expressed that said fines should be a lot higher.
