Sheffield United beat Oxford 3-1 after a foul frenzy at Bramall Lane.

Sheffield take on Oxford at home, hoping to secure a championship win.

Matt Bloomfield is the new manager for Oxford and is “incredibly proud” to be joining. They also have a new signing debuting for this match, Christ Makosso previously from Luton.

They kicked off at 7:45 Tuesday evening, a wet winter day in Sheffield.

Immediately both teams were working hard, with long passes up and down the pitch.

Oxford have a free kick 3 minutes in but goes nowhere. Oxford united are now looking to win back-to-back league matches on the road, for the first time since April 2024 in league one.

Oxford are sitting at 23rd in the table as Sheffield are at 17th.

Oxford are struggling to gain any possession, they need to start getting that ball in the back of the net, if they want to stay in the championship.
