CCTV images released of man linked to Roundhay street robbery

POLICE HAVE released CCTV images of a man in connection with a street robbery of a 57-year-old woman.

The incident took place at around 2pm on Saturday, November 18 on Street Lane in Roundhay. Detectives believe the woman was targeted for her jewellery. Officers want to speak to the man.

The victim was walking to her car when she was approached by masked men who had pulled up beside her in a grey Audi A5.

They knocked her to the ground and attempted to prize rings from her fingers but failed. They did steal a Rolex watch from her wrist and her handbag before fleeing the scene in the Audi.

The victim suffered injuries to her face and wrist as a result of the incident.
