Police appeal for witnesses of three-vehicle crash near Harrogate

North Yorkshire police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously hurt in a crash on the A658 near Harrogate yesterday.

The crash happened at 3.11pm at Follifoot near the junction with Haggs Road, and involved a white Mercedes-Benz C220, a grey Mini and a silver Porsche.

The driver of the Mini, a 22-year-old man from Newcastle, is in a serious but stable condition at Leeds General Infirmary.

Diversions were put in place as emergency services attended to the scene and the road reopened later that day at around 9pm.

A police investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the crash.

Witnesses of the crash or anyone who recalls any of the vehicles involved prior to the incident, are urged to call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask for Pete Stringer.
