Owner of Pontefract’s first eco-friendly bistro launches a memory window as Christmas card alternative

Little Green Bistro, Pontefract

Pontefract’s first eco-friendly and vegan takeaway bistro, Little Green Bistro, has launched its memory window as an alternative to sending Christmas cards.

Owner of Little Green Bistro, Debbie Maizey, launched the window yesterday (December 4) so that customers can display a handmade representation of someone they might otherwise send a card to or who they will be missing this Christmas.

The Christmas window will be featured in the Pontefract Civic Society map of Christmas windows in the town.

Debbie said: “I hope this too will bring people into Pontefract town centre and bring out the true meaning of Christmas.”

Little Green Bistro, which opened last month, is the first takeaway bistro of its kind to open up in the five-towns area.

Debbie opened Little Green Bistro last month and has already found vegan food to be going down a treat in Pontefract.

She added: “Good food needn’t cost the earth and that’s exactly what we’re about

“It’s about having fresh food and fresh ingredients that are all verified and that aren’t harming the environment.”
