Leeds University students lead march to help women ‘Reclaim the Night’

By Alice Young

Leeds University students are organising the Reclaim the Night march in Leeds on Saturday December 7, campaigning for female empowerment after dark.

Leeds University Union Community Officer Catheryne Fairbairn and Emily Dean from LUU Feminist Society are leading the event, which aims to unite women and “take back the streets”.

The march will start at 6.00pm from Leeds Town Hall and is for women only.

A rally will follow the march at Leeds Beckett Student Union from 7.30pm.
