A renowned medical journal has named Leeds’ Chief Medical Officer as one of the best in the country.

Dr Yvette Oade, Chief Medical Officer of Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust, was commended for leading healthcare projects which go beyond the hospitals trust and into the city of Leeds itself.
The judging panel at the Health Service Journal said: “Dr Oade is trying to make the sort of system wide changes encouraged by the NHS Five Year Forward View.”
Also recognised in the 2015 listing was LTHT gynaecology consultant Sean Duffy for his role as National Clinical Director for cancer at NHS England.
