Leeds City Centre has been dressed up for the festive season as the Leeds Christmas Markets 2025 take over Millennium Square and City Square.
The markets first opened ahead of the Christmas period on November 21st and is set to run until December 21st.
Many of the instinct features of the market include established stalls selling festive food and drinks across the board, bringing joy to those who attend.
The entry into the markets is free of charge, with most rides and attractions containing tickets or an added charge to participate.
The markets contain over 60 different chalets across the City Centre, which are decorated with Christmas ornaments.
The stalls opening hours are 10:00 to 19:00 from Monday to Friday, with longer opening times of 10:00 to 21:00 from Thursday to Saturday, with Sunday’s hours being 11:00 to 18:00.
When asked about working and opening a stall in the Christmas Markets, Claire Hotchin, who works at The Dutch Pancake Bar said, “as a business, Christmas is bringing the joy.”
She also said “it makes everybody put a smile on their face when its cold”
Despite bringing joy to those around, Hotchin also mentioned the money side of Christmas saying, “its extremely expensive” adding that “in the last few years it’s got harder, everybody knows everybody’s purse is tight.”
Even with tough times ahead for some, the Leeds Christmas Markets still remains as a popular attraction to the public.
