Police have today issued a warning to heroin users after a man died in Leeds.
A 26-year-old man died on Sunday at an address in Bank Avenue, Morley.
The cause of his death has not yet been established but West Yorkshire Police said he was a known heroin user, and was taking drugs in the lead up to his death.
Det Insp David Roberts, of Leeds District CID, said: “It is not yet known if the strength of the heroin taken was a factor or if the heroin had been cut with something unusual, but the police and public health officials feel it is appropriate to advise drugs users that if they feel unwell or get an unusual reaction to something they have taken, they should seek medical advice immediately.”
