A number of fawns have been born at Lotherton Hall in Leeds this month, much to the delight of visitors and staff alike.
The new arrivals can be seen from the deer hide on the estate, as well as from Lotherton Hall’s special trial walk, which has been renovated by volunteers during spring.
The deer park walk will also provide winter food for the deer for the first time, with staff taking advantage of recent dry weather to harvest a crop of hay from the land.
Leeds City Council’s executive board member for communities, Councillor Debra Coupar, said: “The estate at Lotherton Hall is absolutely stunning, and we are extremely proud of our special trail walk which provides visitors with the opportunity to view the cute fawns from our wonderful deer hide.
“I would also like to offer a big thank you to our volunteering team at Lotherton Hall, who have done a tremendous job making the experience for visitors to the estate even better than before.”
