A circus has been condemned by a Bradford animal rights group over the living conditions of their animals as the circus begins its two week run in the city today.

Ringmistress, Petra Jackson, has said that the the animals at the circus are being well cared for.
and camels, travels across the UK regularly and recently arrived in Thornton to perform their show.
But the circus has come under fire from Bradford and Calderdale Animal Friends who are worried the animals are not being looked after and questioned whether they should be with the circus group at all.
The charity said: “No animal should live on the road.” The animal rights group then went on to say that they were concerned that the animals at the circus were kept in cramped conditions.
Ring mistress, Petra Jackson, defended the circus and their ability to keep the animals in good living conditions.
She said: “We love and care for these animals a great deal, they’re kept in spacious conditions and we passed out inspection with flying colours”.
Mrs Jackson added that the animal welfare activists had published the private numbers of the stables where the circus is pitched on the internet.
This has led to a high number of phone calls coming from protestors who were concerned about the animals in the circus’ care.
