Broccoli man “disturbs the peas” at Extinction Rebellion London protest

By Grace Pritchard

Extinction Rebellion activists have taken to the streets of London over the past few days again to push for government action on the climate breakdown.

One protester in particular has shot to fame on twitter after being arrested on Oxford Street.

The grounds on which Broccoli man was arrested are not yet clear but twitter has once again worked it’s magic with hundreds tweeting in support of the protester.

Protests by Extinction Rebellion are becoming more frequent and prolonged, with climate marches now happening in cities across the country.

As momentum for the movement grows eyes are not only on the government’s response but on how the police will continue to deal with the protests.

Yesterday’s arrest has proved a successful publicity stunt for Extinction Rebellion and vegetables alike.
