Bradford City sign Salford city striker Tom Elliott on 6 month loan

Bradford city have signed Salford city and Ex Leeds United striker Tom Elliott, in the hope of keeping Bradford City forward for promotion battle heading into the second half of the year. Elliott so far this season has scored 4 goals for Salford and hopes to provide different opportunities with the team and hoped to get comfortable.

“Yeah it’s been good, I knew Oscar from back at Salford last year, it’s like going back to school, I’ve remember four names, but yeah I’m obviously we played against them (Bradford) a couple of weeks ago and now I’m a Bradford shirt.”

Salford and Bradford city are both in situations were promotion battle is important. Elliott elaborate on the effort he has to put into the team.

“Yeah to be fair the Gaffer made it clear what he wanted from us and like I said I agreed with him, I even liked before( I signed)  when speaking to the gaffer, and I looked at the team and I thought we’ve got a massive chance here. I kinda thought the Gaffer would pushing more towards promotion and he’s done it himself he did last year, did it with Plymouth. So like I said I created a good blueprint on promotion and I agreed with him and we had a really good talk.”

Elliott past experience with promotion is making sure has given him a good base line for success at Bradford city. “ definitely, but the one thing I would say is that I hope the boys can get automatic promotion because I’ve had to do play offs the whole time. People say it’s the best way but when you win at Wembley it’s amazing.”

Bradford next game is against Crawley Town at home on Saturday 29th January at 15:00.
